This is an Expert, Fourstoke, Junior, Sidecar and Sidecar Clubmans meeting.

NOTE: In all races Watson, Pelling, Guilford, Oldfield and Wilkinson do not qualify for points in the championship

Race 1

Race was led by the Watson's from Keane / Heighes and Wilkinson / Burt in 3rd. Just before the finish of lap 3 Keane / Heighes got stuck in the deep ruts on the final bend and dropped down to 6th place having been passed by Wilkinson, Pelling / Wernham, Munnery / Bridgwater & Breacher / Hillyard. At this stage of the race the current series leaders, Suskins / Tye were back in 11th. As the race progressed the Watson's engine was sounding less and less healthy with a blowing decompressor but this hardly slowed them at all. At the flag they were comfortable winners from Wilkinson & Pelling with the leading clubman's crew, Breacher / Hillyard, in 4th.

Race 2

Once again the race was led by the Watson' s from Wilkinson, Pelling, Oldfield / Foyle and Guilford / Batten. Leading the points scorers were Eaton / Hutchman from Munnery with Peters / Burt in 3rd. Peters only lasted one lap when his KTM engine cut out for the fourth time in the day. On lap 4 disaster struck the Watsons when passenger mark fell out but in one easy movement he was on his feet and then ran down the track to rejoin his brother and the bike. At the mid point in the race Eaton made a mistake and was overtaken by Breacher, Keane and Guilford. On the following lap Guilford was past Keane and closing on Breacher. With 2 laps to go Guilford tangled with Breacher whilst trying to pass him and once past left him only just in front of Keane. On the final lap Keane passed Breacher to take the win with Eaton coming home in 3rd.

Race 3

At the first corner of this leg Keane touched the rear wheel of Wilkinson and tipped the outfit over (see photo). In the front was Wilkinson from Guilford and Watson. On the second lap Watson was up to 2nd and closing hard on Wilkinson. Watson took the lead on lap 3 and held it to the flag. In the clubman's class Breacher held the lead for the whole race from Guy & Mark Williams. On the second lap Suskins moved up to 3rd, which he held to the flag. After their early tumble Keane / Heighes pulled up from dead last to finish 5th in the class.

Round 4 of the championship is on 21st Sept at Piddingworth Downs, Brighton.
