Report

Premier MX ran their first meeting at the hillside track at warninglid on Sunday with ideal conditions blessing the proceedings.

The new club are featuring full open machines and the entry reflected the currant trend of booming four strokes in their own separate races. Sean Stevens was flying as he picked up 2 wins but race 3 left the Medway rider with a bad start and had to muscle his way past Tony Hale, Lewis King, John Hinz and Dean lane, but once again with a clear track ahead he stamped his authority putting a big chunk of real estate between him and the chasing pack to claim the £100.00 first prize. Second place went to the wire, and Tony Hale finished on equal points with Lewis King but took the extra money with the last race rule.

The 125/250Fs normally run with the open bikes in the south east region and the entry also reflected the demand for a 125/250Fs only club championship, so the Premier 125 SE championship should go from strength to strength especially as they are using new tracks all over the South East region. Coming back after a 2 year lay off Lee Elliott looked as though he had never been away as he motored to a first race lead on the booming Yamaha YZ250F but as Ben Lambert Williams and James Davies got involved in a monumental battle for second place Lee managed to stall the four stoke which dropped him to 17th, Ben tipped off as James took the win but recovered for second to keep him in with a shout of another £100.00. Elliott made no mistakes in the next races winning both and Lambert Williams did enough for the big prize money as Paul “Wildman” Willis took 3rd by one point from an impressive Matt Hutchins.

The schoolboys featured classes from S/W 85s up and enjoyed the technically demanding track and Open Youth rider Jack Grover managed to take the overall as the Motoward rider from Zimbabwe Dustin Whithead messed up his second race which ruined his hat trick of wins.

B/W 85 runner Jamie Arnold won the first race but the lap scoring ladies struggled with the mixed group and the race was scrubbed, sorry Jamie. Jason Brunell went on to win the group as Phillip Sims headed Chris Cooper.

Lloyd Evans took a clean sweep in the S/W 85s with Kierren Burdon runner up but the tricky track was proving harder on the smaller wheeled bikes giving Ben Butler, Ricci Wright and Geno Rea some bazaar results.
