South Eastern Centre Motocross Combine Championship Rules 2003


1. The Championship will be known as "The 2003 S.E. Centre Moto Cross Championship for ..... (Juniors, Experts, etc.)".

2. The full title must be displayed in the Gazette regulations and on the front page of any race programme.

3. Recommendation that each club should advertise in the national motorcycle press.

5. FORMAT and RACE TIMES

(i) There is no minimum number of competitors for a Championship class to be run; it is to be at the discretion of the organising club.

(ii) Experts, Fourstrokes and Sidecars under the same format that will be three legs of moto cross per meeting, each leg to count.

(iii) Race times to be a minimum of 15 mins. plus 1 lap for all classes.

(iv) Juniors - each club will offer places to a minimum of two groups of riders. The maximum size of each group to be dependent on the track certificate for the course. These groups will have a 15 minute heat as the initial race and from these results Junior A, B and possibly C races will be formed. The first "X" number from each heat will form the A group, the next "Y" number from each heat will form the B group, remainder if applicable will form the C group. Junior A will be 2 x 15 minute plus 1 lap legs of moto cross and these riders only will receive championship points and expert grading points. Juniors B and C will have races of the same duration, awards for these groups to be at the discretion of the organising club. Junior Class - Points awarded and records kept: when a rider is upgraded he scores no further points. At the end of the year, whoever is top of the league table wins. It could be a "new Expert" or a Junior that has scored consistently in positions which did not attract Expert points.

(v) Anyone may ride in more than one class, providing there are vacancies on the closing date in the additional class/es. They must state which classes they wish to enter on the entry form giving their preferred 1st choice. He/she will have to pay an additional £10 entry fee when accepted for another class which, will not be refunded if he/she does not subsequently ride in both classes.

(vi) If a club promotes a joint A.M.C.C. and A.C.U. promotion Sidecar championship round only A.C.U. licence holders will be eligible for points and prize money.

(vii) Allcomers - If insufficient experts have entered then it is possible to run an allcomers class with both experts and juniors scoring separately for their respective championship classes. Allcomers races will be 18 minutes plus 1 lap. Lap scoring sheets must be recorded for the whole field and sent to centre recorder. Any competitor who does not appear in the programme will not be eligible for any points or awards i.e. You ride for nothing.

(i) AWARDS: Are at the discretion of the organising club but any awards must be stated in the supplementary regulations.

(ii) ANNUAL AWARDS: The South Eastern Centre will provide each class winner with an annual award, be it plaque, shield or salver, together with a replica.

(iii) POINTS: Championship points will be awarded in all classes to the following scale:

All rounds to count. In the event of a tie the competitor with the highest placing in the Championship will be awarded the highest place i.e. most race wins, most 2nd places etc. etc.

(i) Regulations: All regulations must appear in The Sporting Motorcyclist. Photocopied entry forms will not be accepted, unless initiated by ourselves, i.e. the club.

(ii) Calendar: Once the S.E. Centre Moto Cross Championship calendar has been published any date changes or additional dates will not be allowed to count towards the Centre Championship.

STARTS: All starts must be by a mechanically controlled gate (not elastic).
